Designed to increase note
taking skills. The student writes
down the purpose of the lecture
ahead of time. The student only
listens to the first part of the
lecture. Then the teacher
pauses and the student writes
down everything he/she
remembers. After the lecture,
the students work in small
groups with guidance from the
teacher to discuss the lecture.
Lastly, the student reflects on
the process and writes
summary points without using
notes.
